Here are some interesting stats about the number of people playing Ricochet Infinity.

In the past 30 days the web server's catalog of user made levels has been accessed by 32,059 unique installations of Ricochet Infinity.

Someone who used the same computer to accessed the catalog every day for the past 30 days would only be counted ONCE. We are counting the number of computers not the number of times the catalog was downloaded. So we count the number of active players but not how many plays.

Another interesting stats is how many levelset downloads have occurred recently.

In the past 30 days there have been 807,877 levelset downloads.

There were 32,059 people accessing the catalog in that time so those people each downloaded an average of 25.2 levelsets per month. Obviously some people do a lot less and some people a lot more to average out to 25.2

Amazing stats but what I feel is unfair is all those people who don't even say THANKS to the creators!!
I'm sure that would be a drop in the ocean if you tallied that stats.

I guess about 30 000 of those don't know of the existance of the forum, and about 1500 are to lazy to, check it.

I guess I haven't played as much as I used to. Only played twice this month.

Although I am making a new set. Internet memes. Only ten.

I'm kinda one of the more sporadic players.

I just looked at the levelsets released in the past 30 days and most of them had about 1 rating for every 10 downloads. For example, a levelset downloaded 4,000 times had 400 ratings. I think of ratings as a small thank you. Most players don't come to the forums and post a message but at least hundreds of players do submit a rating for the levelsets they download.

It is sad to know that 90% of the people don't even bother to rate the levels and 98% never come to the forums. But it is good to know that the levelsets you make (and test) are being played by many, many people.

My mind boggles at the numbers. What a great statiscal tool. Now...how can we get even a third of them to come into the forum?

In the game is no reference to the Forum either that I could find.

I guess the masses download from the game catalogue instead of going to page where other games are shown. However, on that page is DISCUSS....maybe we could change that to FORUM instead of making it sound like an English lesson!! or SAY THANKS... something more positive. Something that relates to the younger ones playing that they would understand easier.

When I started watching Randy Jackson's Dance Crew, I had no idea what the judges are talking about. The first word was DOPE - ya thinking maryjane or stronger....but NOPE it means GREAT!

There seems the need of updating webster dickshunairy!

I'm not into music but I love watching dancing of any kind. Ya should have seen the boys on skates!! They were DOPE!!!

That's a great idea!

And in the end, perhaps add a marker with text that says ricochetinfinity.com/forums/index.php? You don't need to have the http when you type it, because hypertext transfer protocol probably means turn into link. And RI has no link function, nor an ingame mouse.

And maybe turn it into a collab! We could take some screenshots of important peices of the forum. And depending on how many people are there to make them, we can choose one or multiple to get to the ten level minimum. Then we can volunteer to do a screenshot and submit it.

I've contributed a lot to those numbers in the last month, because when I'm not busy, I've played ALL the A rated games. Now I'm starting on the B rated games. And I do rate.

We don't really see a reason for playing without rating. Because you play and you can rate. We know how great it is as creators to see your rating and to see comments on this forum.
