Is it really impossible to add completely new images into the game? It may be difficult, but I doubt it cannot be done.

Well what I did was... I batch renamed every FRM and SEQ file into TGAs with infranview. (which was a tedious process might I add!) and copied them over to the OTHER resources folder. (the one with all the text files) that way ricochet would be able to read all of them success fully so I can add new TGAs. though if you tried to open the duplicated TGAs in game, (not the entirely custom ones) they would cause it to crash, so I would recommend turning off auto load when doing this! (I made a custom pic folder while doing this to make things easier.)
also what's strange about this... although the game seems to read the custom images, it won't create new FRMs for some reason! (EDIT: It turns out it wouldn't create them unless I ran the game as administator. :lol: )
lastly... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you backup your game files before doing this, in case you mess something up! (plus you must have extracted every game file and folder from the data.dat file to a data folder, that you make yourself, before doing this entire process)

Oh and also, when you do the batch rename, you must have infranview like this~

(Though it's only a frame and not a sequence. And I'm using it as a starfish effect on a shrunken deflector. :lol: )

I think it's fair to say that you have made a breakthrough in Ricochet Infinity modding.
However, I may need to look through those steps slowly, to ensure that I get it right.

P.S. You actually made one of my mini deflectors?

It's been 10 freaking years since infinity was released. SOMEBODY has to have done it! :lol:

Anyways... I'm trying to figure out how to get sequences in. James once said that Ricochet can convert multiple TGAs into SEQs, but the question is how do you get it to do that? :-k
