Tonnie, what an incredible job you did with this huge set! There is an amazing amount of detail in each and every level, and I laughed during the humorous animations (especially L18 - Santa Trouble...brilliant!) I loved the lights in L1, and the snowflakes looked cool in L25, but my favorite was L22 with the fairies decorating the tree...that was very cute to watch! As for where you'll go from here, how about some clever ring puzzles with creative brick art, and I hope to keep playing sets from you well into next year!

Have a Merry Christmas, Tonnie!

Super Christmas set, Tonnie! =D> You sure WOW'd us this time! =D>
Absolutely AWESOME artwork. Love the animations and the sound effects! =D>
Enjoyed the humor, too.
No real favorite level (loved them all), but I especially liked how recall made the train back up in L7.

Thank you so much for sharing your levels with us. A very MERRY CHRISTMAS to you & yours!

A+/A+/A+

Thanks so much Trance, I was beginning to wonder if you were still playing any sets since I didn't hear from you when my Halloween set came out. L22 was soley Dar's idea and I did what I could to make it come alive. L22 and L18 was the 2 most difficult levels (script wise) I have ever done. It took me about 4 days for each of these 2 levels, getting the timing down when the fairy picked up the orniment and travel with it was a job in a half but it came out really good and I hope that Dar loves what I did with it. She also sent me the the pic of L18 and I just added a little more graphics to it and thought it would be cool to actually make it look like one of the deers got a flat. Adding sound to it was my sons idea. I've been making set after set for months and thought I would take a break until next year but I will create again, I might even do a New Year set but not sure.

DD, I always welcome your comments (good or bad) but I knew with this set it would be great. I'm usually happy with most of my sets but with this one I gave it my all and for once I am very proud to have done this set and the way it come out. It's even better than I imagined but a lot of thanks goes to Dar since she gave me such great ideas and awesome pics to help create this set. I have to admit, I like my reverse train mode too!!!!! Thanks for the great comments.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL and for those that don't celebrate Christmas HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU.

Are there enough complementary words to explain how I feel about this set? NO. Tonnie, you have gone to the ranks of A+ in my book!!! I absolutely loved every single level of this set. I can't even imagine how long it took you to do this. The attention to detail is superb! And the scripting ... awesome!!! I can't even come up with a few favorite levels because they are all so great! I loved the flashing lights, how the nutcrackers actually broke nuts, the elves, penguins, you got mail cracked me up, the carolers. And I think it's great that the set had 25 levels...get it? 25th of December? lol. Don't know if you intended that or not, but what a nice touch.

I don't leave my ratings normally, but I thought you deserved to know...

A+, A+, A+

#-o I can't believe I never commented on your Halloween set (It was awesome)! Well, not only am I still playing sets, but I've started on my first set I'd like to share with all of you! It will have lots of triggers and will be called "Trigger Mania"! I don't know when it will be done as I'm just trying different ideas as they pop into my head and making them into playable (and hopefully fun) levels. I have two close to finished and just starting on the third. I'm also experimenting with custom bricks - not just in looks, but in function which will require a change of tact when dealing with them! And maybe a custom PU or two!

And thanks to Dar for giving you all those great ideas for your Christmas set! May both of you (and everybody else in these forums) have a Merry Christmas!

Thanks MM.

Many thanks BM, in order for you to actaully leave what you ranked on a set, I must have done a good job. For me, 25 was made with the idea of 25 days of Christmas, you know like how they advertise it on TV. I started on this set immediatly after my Halloween set was published because I wanted to make this set the best holiday set ever made that is why I asked Dar to give ideas and send pics because she always comes up with the perfect pics and her imagination is awesome. I'm not saying that it is the best but I know it's the best set I have ever created with the help of Dar's imagination and pics.

Trance, glad to see you're joining the creator team, well there's not actually a team but you get the gist. If you have any thought on things but not sure how to script it, PM me and I can help, if it can be done that is. Looking forward to playing your set. Here are some guidelines that might help you.

1. Make it somewhat challenging but fun to play, give the player something to aim for.
2. Use combination of bricks and not just 1 or 2 of the same bricks.
3. It's always good to have custom PU's because if you put in a lot of bricks (especially 3 hitters) then it's no guarantee that the player will get a good/decent PU and can make the gameplay poor therefore the ranking will be poor as well.

I think there is a post in the general forum area that has the complete list of guidelines that will help you make a good set. But like I said you need any help just PM me.

Thanks for offering your help, Tickle.

By your third point, I take it you mean "forced" PU's? I hate levels which just have random PU's so you can be sure mine will have the PU's needed to complete them in a timely manner! By "custom" PU's I mean those like Blake and Black Bullet use in their sets. I'm currently working on a "Rail Blossom" PU - it will work like the Death Blossom but with Rail Bricks! Should be very powerful (and noisy)! But if it clears too much of a level at once, I may make it one-shot per pickup. I'm aware of all the guidelines and I'm not the most skilled player, so if it's easy for me it should be easy for the vast majority of players!

Forced is what I was referring to. Most people that create for the first time don't realize that there is help for them in the forums, like me....lol but my imagination at the time was still enough to get players wanting to see what I came up with next.

Tonnie this was a fabulous set, both visually and game play wise. :) My 9 yr old niece just finished it and gave it an A+, she especially loved the reindeer falling down and Mommy kissing Santa Claus :)

Thanks so much GB, Santa Trouble is probably my favorite level, no matter how many times I watch it I still laugh at it. Glad your niece liked it as well.
